I use a gaming laptop with the required specs, however it came with two graphics cards for some dumb reason. A basic one and a nice NVIDIA card. I have been able to run everything I've tried to play.. So now when you say it doesn't recognize cards on laptops, its got me a bit worried. I'm sure it'll run fine, but if it doesn't I'm coming back for help! Lol

I went on some websites to look at the requirements and it said that i meet about 50-60% of the minimum, but i meet about 40% for minecraft yet i can run minecraft with about 70 FPS, and so i thought it wouldnt matter, so i bought it on steam and now i straight up cant open it, and i now ive wasted $60 on this... please help me resolve this or get a refund!

Wow... I don't know if you are trolling or just retarded but comparing a AAA games performance on the basis that you can run minecraft is the most absurd thing i have ever seen. At least post your specs if you want any help at all but judging from your initial post ill allready tell you that you need to upgrade your PC.

You NEED a new video card.

You probably wont find better for cheaper than these two cards

Your GPU performance is 56% the reccomended and 131% the minimum.

Would you mind replying with your CPU and RAM for an actual overall assessment?

                    Your RAM is fine.

I would recommended operating on medium textures with limited Post effects. Should be fine, Though you will see High GPU temps, but that's for anyone with the current optimization this game lacks. Overall: You should have a fun experience just be careful not to overheat your laptop.

I'll tell you guys this: don't usually buy into minimum requirement BS.
I run the game on medium settings with a smooth 50/60 FPS.

                        Specs:
                        i7 950 @3.7Ghz
                        Asus Sabertooth X58
                        12Gb DDR3
                        GTX 470

FYI: Built this in 2010, haven't upgraded it since.

Anyway i did some performance guide and made a video of the last mission.
All details are in the description of the video.

                            https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OW02RJZJQu8

Here is my setup and guide for every visual option and performance impact:

                            Is it worth it:
                            easy noticeable
                            mediumiSHly noticeable
                            hardly noticeable

                            Performance impact:
                            low
                            medium
                            high
                            very high

                            My pc:

                            Graphics card: GTX 970 G1 3.5gb
                            Cpu: AMD FX 8320 @4ghz
                            Ram: 10 gb @1600 mhz
Full HD monitor / 27 inch
My goal was 55/60 average FPS.

                            1. Resolution: easy noticeable - high performance impact
                            2. Full Screen: easy noticeable - NO performance impact
                            3. Texture Quality: easy noticeable - low performance impact (if you got enough vram, if not enough than it will be very high performance impact. 3 gb for max setings, 2 gb medium, 1gb low)
                            4. Shadow map Size: mediumiSHly noticeable - high performance impact
                            5. Foliage Quality: mediumiSHly noticeable - low performance impact
                            6. View Distance (this is not draw distance): hardly noticeable - very high performance impact (only on very high points in the game like top of the towers this will matter, but that is like 0.1% of the time)
                            7. Ambien Occlusion: mediumiSHly noticeable - medium performance impact
                            8. Nvidia HBAO+ (turn it off on AMD card): mediumiSHly noticeable - medium performance impact
                            9. Nvidia depth of field: mediumiSHly noticeable - high performance impact
                            10. Blur (i don't like it) : easy noticeable - medium performance impact
                            11. AntiAliasing: easy noticeable - high performance impact

System info (yellow) In bottom left corner starting from up:

                            Time

                            Graphics Card temperature + load/usage
                            Vram / Graphics ram usage
                            System Ram usage
                            Processor temperature + usage
                            FPS / Frames Per second

This is done because a powerfull graphics card even when doing nothing will draw more power than a graphics card designed specifically for low power operations. During basic use, the low power graphics card is used, ensuring the minimum amount of power is used, thus increasing your battery life. When games are played, the advanced graphics card is used.
This combination give you the best of both worlds - minimal power usage where possible, and high quality graphics performance when required.
Hopefully you no longer think it has two graphics cards for a dumb reason
